A very long-awaited second episode of this podcast (sorry!). Today, my guest is Sammy Bovitz.
Happy Nintendo Switch 2 release week! After spending most of the semester discussing the upcoming console with Sammy, one of my former USC students, and even having one student comment, “You guys sound like a podcast,” it's now indeed a podcast (episode).
In this episode, I talk to Sammy about the role food plays in the Mario games and its storytelling, the new Mario Kart ($80?!), and Switch 2 expectations.
Sammy is returning to USC in the fall and covers gaming for Annenberg Media and the business of entertainment for The Daily Trojan.
